In addition to leading the Anakazi Center, Yareka is an Advisory Board Member for the United Nations Women Greater Los Angeles Chapter and a very active member of the Zambian community in Los Angeles.

Yareka is passionate about helping African women entrepreneurs grow their Businesses and aspires to support vulnerable refugee women to gain access to resources, enabling them to start over and succeed. Of this cause to which she has dedicated her life.

 Yareka Mhango aka Mwana Lute (Ruth’s Daughter) has done them all! Her diverse background and life experiences provide natural connections with women, no matter where they have come from or where they are, and allow her to encourage them to connect to their God-given gifts and talents in a way that impacts the world around them. She is the Founder and President of Anakazi Center for African Women Empowerment and Development (Anakazi Center), which seeks to create and foster support networks for business development and partnerships, and create networking platforms for African women. She founded Anakazi Center in honor of the women who have contributed to her life from childhood through adulthood.
